I'm not a starving artist, but I am hungry. My hunger is for creating art, inspires, and teaching other. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, I remember drawing at the age of 3. Drawing on walls, in books, and on grocery bags. I taught mysef to draw at a young age and built on this foundation by absorbing as much knowledge as i could from various art classes. I've taken many type of art classes through out my life, but my Jr. and Sr. High art teachers incluenced me the most.
My favorite art period is Italian Renaissance, because of the energy, and religious themes. Michealangelo is my favorite artist. I became interested in painting in college because my minor was studio art. I prefer painting big, which is why I like murals.
In 2010, I started my business "Blaylock Creations" and my goal is to continue growing as a person, an artist, and an entrepreneur, because creating art and positively touching lives is my passion.- William Blaylock
