Spoken word artist Truth B. Told has made a name for himself already in the Midwest and nationwide, and will expand his base even further this year as he begins to perform internationally as well. This multiple slam champion has garnered the attention and respect of audiences & peers alike, including internationally acclaimed poets such as Taalam Acey, J. Ivy, and Shihan, among others.
Just recently, Truth B. Told was nomininated for 3 National Poetry Awards (Best New & Upcoming Spoken Word Artist, Single of the Year-My Testimony, and Poet of the Year). He has already opened for acts such as Jazmine Sullivan, Chrisette Michele, Dwele, and Bilal.
His debut CD, "Lyrical Therapy, Volume One" has received critical praise and has fueled anticipation for two upcoming projects, "The Eulogy" & "Volume Two: The Death & Rebirth of Christopher Owens". Never one to limit himself, Truth B. Told has also stepped into the acting arena with a cameo appearance in the film "How You Look To Me" featuring Frank Langella.
Other upcoming projects include a role in the independent movie "Somewhere in the Middle", as well as a joint venture with violinist Maestro J entitled "Word/Play".
