Philasifer a.k.a. Ron Johnson Jr. began his Hiphop journey at age twelve. Starting out as a beatbox, he has explored all the elements of Hiphop and expresses himself foremost as an M.C. He composes and produces his own music. His beats are infused by his diverse musical tastes and influences like Count Basie, Nina Simone, KRS One, Nas, Weezer, George Benson, and Ellis Regina just to name a few. His lyrics are poetic and his delivery strong and clear. His music is at once a breath of fresh air and fun to listen to, at home in the underground and the mainstream. His rhymes and beats have appeared on mix tapes in the U.K. and been featured by broadbandtalent.com in Billboard magazine as well as numerous mix tapes and albums.
