As a precursor to the full 23-track compilation, Untold Songs: Volume One curated by Belle, we're pleased to be able to present to you today a FREE 3-track EP featuring remixes of tracks by artists who feature on the full compilation.
Untold Songs: Remixes EP1 contains remixes from some true electronic heavyweights! Silkie has remixed Kersha Bailey's track 'Good Time', Quest (Deep Medi) has remixed Belle's track 'Open My Eyes', and Jet Letts & 10Sumohave remixed Shuanise's track 'Africa'. And you can download the FREE EP right now via Bandcamp.
Tracklisting:
01. Kersha Bailey - Good Time (Silkie's "Don't Wait Up" Remix)
02. Shuanise - Africa (Jett Lets & 10Sumo Remix)
03. Belle - Open My Eyes (Quest's "Flyby" Remix)
Silkie has turned Kersha Bailey's track into a ridiculously addictive dubstep number which is likely to destroy dancefloors far and wide! Jett Lets & 10Sumo have taken Africa by Shuanise and switched it up into a progressive and hypnotic 2step/house tune, whilst Quest has turned Belle's track on its head to create a truly deep 7-minute long monster. All three are absolutely wicked remixes!
Obviously we're really happy to share such great music with you for free, but there is a purpose and a cause with the Untold Songs project. The full compilation - clips of which you can listen to on Soundcloud - drops on Monday 13 June. It features 23 tracks by some of the most impressive female talent around. You'll be able to purchase the release for a mere £5, the majority of which will go straight back to Amnesty International to assist with their "Stop Violence Against Women" campaign.
I'm sure you'll agree that this is a fantastic cause. For £5 you get 23 amazing tracks and Amnesty International get much needed funding to continue what they've been doing tirelessly for the past 50 years.
The launch party for Untold Songs: Volume One is happening at Rich Mix in the heart of Shoreditch this Saturday (11 June), featuring live performances from; Heidi Vogel, Tanya Auclair, Stac, Yarah Bravo, Sabira Jade, Sarina Leah, Shuanise, plus live art from Sri McKinnon and cup cakes by "Esme Bakes". You can purchase tickets for just £5 from the Rich Mix website. Check full details for the amazing event on Facebook. Launches in Bristol and Leeds are to follow.
