Rahsaan Patterson was raised in Harlem, NY and in the Pentecostal faith. He was inspired by Prince, Sarah Vaughn, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Rufus, Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson and Donny Hathaway. He was singing in his church choir by the age of 6. His family relocated to CA because of his talent and he started a TV career, but music was his life and it was embedded in his soul. He began honing his skills and reaching out to other musicians in the L.A. area. He has written songs for Tevin Campbell, Jody Watley, Chico DeBarge and Christopher Williams. He worked with producer Keith Crouch and wrote the triple-platinum selling "Baby" and it was NUMBER ONE on the national charts in '94 and it launched"Brandy's career. Neo-soul was just beginning to become popular. His self-titled CD dropped in 1997 and the album included his signature song "Where You Are." "Stop By" also helped put him on the radar with R&B fans. In 1999 his critically praised CD, "Love in Stereo" dropped. He has worked with Boney James, Jimmy Sommers, Brian Culberstgon and Jonathan Butler. In 2004, Rahsaan's 3rd CD dropped in 2004 "After Hours" and it was released on the independent Artistry Music label. He has contributed music to more than 10 million CDs.
